Kaomoji Support (Japanese Emoticons)4 votes 3 commentaires
Have been looking for a keyboard that has it all and SwiftKey works for me for the most part. But it's kind of annoying how I have to switch to a different keyboard every now and then to enter kaomoji or Japanese emoticons like these - (๑•̀д•́๑)ʅʕ•ᴥ•ʔʃ
Would be really nice if these could be made default or as an add on in the SwiftKey keyboard
Quick access to plain text emoticons4 votes 1 commentaire
don't know if this has already been asked, cannot find it in the forum search. The thing is I'm an old guy, I've started chatting when we still had the BBSs and Internet was almost unknown. Because of that I hate all those damn emojis, all that bitmap wasting just to show stupid faces, and silly objects, and flags and who knows what other weird stuff. So, is there a way to quick access the text-only emoticons, ie, those you can type by just using brackets, two colon and the like :-) :-/ :-(
Previous versions, I could keep the Enter key pressed and at least a top row with a clock icon appeared, and from there I could see my last typed emoticons. Now, text emoticons are not under the clock anymore and the text emoticons tab :-) is just the last one, and it's very impractical to access it this way. Can the order of those tabs be changed? Could you bring the text emoticons back to the history tab?
Thanks in advance for the help.
text based emojis no longer show in recent4 votes 2 commentaires
it seems that the text based emojis [ :-) ;-) :-( etc] no longer show in the most recently used emoji list. is there an option to revert this back to previous behaviour?

Period is way way way too easy to press.
Customize Long-press Symbols4 votes 2 commentaires
It would be very nice if there were a way to adjust what symbol(s) are in the long-press menu of each key, as well as which one of those is the default. For instance:
* I use tilde (~) a lot, to indicate a sentence spoken with a joking tone. I'd gladly give up, say, double-quote on 'C' to get quicker access to it. (Yes, I know that if you turn on the dedicated number row, 'E' gets tilde as its long-press instead of 3, but that costs valuable screen real-estate.)
* The number keys, when you have the dedicated number row on, don't have any long-press symbols assigned at all.
* As I Canadian, I use the English (UK) locale, since there isn't a dedicated Canadian English locale and we mostly use the British spellings for words. However, this means SwiftKey insists on making the default long-press symbol on 'X' the pound symbol; since our currency is the Canadian dollar, I'd much rather have it default to the dollar sign.
* As an English-speaker living in Québec, I occasionally need to type a French word or place name which contains an accented character. However the only accents which are used with any frequency are the acute, grave, and circumflex on a vowel or cedilla on 'C'; the other fifty-or-so accented characters available when the 'Show all accented characters' option is on are or little use to me.
German layout - long press4 votes 2 commentaires
I just started to use Swiftkey, and I love it, but the fact how the letters ß, ä, ö, and ü are handled when typing in German are a complete deal-breaker for me. It's such a simple thing, and I honestly don't understand why it's not implemented in a smart way.
In order to type an 'ä', you have to long press the letter 'a', then the '@' appears beneath your finger, and you have to move to the letter 'ä'. In German, the letter 'ä' is just a normal character, and it is used a lot more often than the letter '@', so it should be the other way round. After the long press, the 'ä' should automatically appear beneath your finger, so you just have to long press it, without the extra move.
The same thing applies to ß (after long pressing the 's', the ß should be standard, instead of the '#'), for o (where the 9 is standard instead of ö), and the 'ü' as well.
Gboard, and any other keyboard (to my knowledge) implement it in that way. So you just have to long press the u, in order to get a ü, and so on. It's fine if you have to move your finger for characters that you don't need that often, but ä, ü, ö and ß should be the first choice when long pressing.
[Feature Requests] Don't censor GIFS4 votes 3 commentaires
I just noticed that after a certain update my gifs are now censored. I've been a swift key user since the beginning (since the paid app days) and I'm now actively looking for an alternative. If I wanted to use an app that controls what I can search or use I would just use APPLE.
Smarter capitalization of "I"4 votes 0 commentaires
This has been asked for about a year ago, but I'll try again... I've enabled two languages in the SwiftKey (beta) app. My native tongue and English. Switching between the two is seamless, which I enjoy, but the app keeps capitalizing my I's in my mother tongue as well (where "i" is a standalone word that shouldn't be capitalized mid-sentence). It would be great if the app could for example look at the word before "i" and then suggest capitalizing only if the word is English.
For now I have to manually correct it, which takes a lot of time in the long run.
Keyboard covers input field - impossible to write, predictions not working4 votes 4 commentaires
I'm having a big issue with SwiftKey on my HTC ONE M7 on Android 5.
The keyboard covers the input field in almost any messenger (WA, GG, TG,...) and makes it impossible to write.
The predictions are also not click-able. When I tap on one of the predictions, the keyboard disappears, as if I would tap on the Messengers window.
I have some Screenshots showing the bug but this forum doesn't seem to have an option to attach images. How can I post an image?
With this serious bug, SwiftKey is totally useless for me.
I can't see the text I'm writing.
I can't tap on the predictions.
The built-in HTC Sense Keyboard works just fine without this issue, so it has to be SwiftKey that's causing the bug.
Please resolve this issue as soon as possible. I can't live without SwiftKey!
Manual language swap4 votes 2 commentaires
Hi, is it possible to change languages manually? When I have two or more languages together (i have Czech, English and French) and use flow, the resulting words of the flow gesture tend to be wrong often (a lot). Even if i use only Czech and English which is necessary in my every day life it is not working well. I would appreciate manual language switching as was possible in the past. Also separate personal dictionaries would be implied.(added words)
Cursor scrolling like windows 10 mobile4 votes 0 commentaires
We a need more accurate way to move our keyboard cursor acrossed the text. Also it would be sweet to get more text predictions in the predictions bar, so being able to swipe and scroll to the left and see more predictions. Like in windows 10 mobile.
Basically just port over the w10m keyboard please!! :)
[FEATURE REQUEST] Make the space bar bigger!!4 votes 5 commentaires
I see so many requests to make the spacebar bigger to eliminate the problem with accidentally hitting the period but yet no response or fix from Swiftkey, so I thought I would add on a post. I really want to love Swiftkey and keep switching back to it every couple of weeks but then that darn period problem annoys me so much that I end up quickly switching to another keyboard. PLEASE FIX THIS!!
Can barely type anymore.4 votes 10 commentaires
When I'm typing on another forum the keys have stopped working properly and even when I tap the prediction words it puts in other things. Often pressing spacebar pus in letters like T randomly. Just now trying to type T with a period after wouldn't let me.
It's seems most problematic on that site.
[Fixed in 6.7.8 beta] Accented characters popup is broken Terminée4 votes 22 commentaires
I have a Huawei p10 (Android 7, SwiftKey184.108.40.206) and I just noticed this new problem, when I try to use the popup for accented characters (long press) the bubble shows up on the far right, not above the correct character I am holding. The bubble is also partly missing or fully missing depending on the location of the character being held.
I tried googling and found no similar issue.
I tried reinstalling, tried using the GBoard (their popup bubble works fine).
What do I do?
Adding a picture! As you can see I am long-pressing D and the bubble shows up half-broken on the right side. If I hold something more to the right of D it won't even show.
[Feature Request] Add arrows to the floating keyboard.4 votes 2 commentaires
Just like the title says, could you add arrows to the floating keyboard?
Can't easily capitalize a word after writing Répondu4 votes 2 commentaires
There seems to be a bug with the Shift key after SWIPING a word. If I swipe a word, the cursor sits at the end of the word. Usually when the cursor is at the end of the word you can press the SHIFT key and the prediction menu will give you an option to change the word to the capitalized version.
However, if you press the SHIFT key after swiping, instead SwiftKey inserts a space. The SHIFT key is a modifying key and should never add a space. You currently have to push the BACK key, then the SHIFT, then you can select the capitalized Breton of the word
Please fix this.
New quick paste feature in SwiftKey Beta 220.127.116.11 votes 1 commentaire
Just tried it and you have to enable the clipboard feature, and then the copied text shows up as a prediction so if you're in a text field that has prediction disabled (like say... a password entry) it doesn't work. Why can't you implement a simple paste button that will paste whatever was copied? I would mainly use this feature to paste copied passwords from LastPass in apps/websites where getting the paste dialog to show up is either a pain or impossible. I do NOT want a list of my last used passwords showing up on my screen, which is why I disable the clipboard feature to begin with!
As an example, Fleksy has a clipboard feature that lets you swipe from the number row to a row of keys with three functions: Copy, Cut, Paste. No copied text ever shows up on the screen and it will paste the text into any text entry available. SwiftKey could easily have similar functionality by, for example, adding a paste button into the comma key long press that activates voice entry or something similar.
Problem with Emoji [Fixed in 18.104.22.168 & Beta 22.214.171.124] Terminée4 votes 14 commentaires
After last update to 126.96.36.199 there is a problem with emoji suggestion while writing. I have disabled that option and sometimes while typing it shows me suggestion. Look screenshot below:
Please fix this.
Cannot remove word prediction Répondu4 votes 16 commentaires
SwiftKey started suggesting me "c è" everytime I press "c", which is annoying as what I really want is "c'è" with the apostrophe (Italian).
My problem is I cannot get rid of that "c è" as if I long press the suggested word, nothing happens. Long pressing other words works, so this is really strange.
Thank you in advance,
Keyboard is way too big in wqhd+ on galaxy note 84 votes 2 commentaires
The smallest size of keyboard is too big for wqhd+ resolution on Samsung galaxy note 8. I really like swiftkey keyboard and have been using it for several years, bought paid version and a couple of themes, definitely wouldnt like to switch to other products. Could you please fix this issue?
How to disable phonetic Feature?4 votes 1 commentaire
I use multi language keyboard.
While I type english or other left to right languages, farsi recommendation is on mind and recommendations wont help. It is some thing useless for me.
How can I disable phonetic Feature? The only thing I hate from SwiftKey is phonetic. :((((((
Can't sign into Facebook on latest beta4 votes 4 commentaires
Just got a Pixel 2XL, running the latest Android 8.0 build with the September security patch. On the latest SwiftKey beta, it won't let me log into my Facebook for personalization. It says error, not logged in please try again. I'm logged in to the Facebook app, and SwiftKey never prompts me to log in to Facebook in the pop-up. Anyone able to help?
No way to create a slide up/down effect for Android?4 votes 2 commentaires
I always asked myself why SwiftKey keyboard doesn't show up and hide in an elegant way and now even more when we have Nougat/Oreo with beautiful screen transitions, material design, etc.
Isn't possible to elaborate a sliding effect just like iPhone and even the Samsung default keyboard?
After testing other keyboards in the last days, I just realized that, although this is something minor, it's the type of thing that makes usability more pleasant, more fluid, smooth. So much better than just appearing and disappearing suddenly.
Don't know if it's something thought to reproduce in lower end phones, but could be something available in settings at least.
[Main Thread] Can't sync data [Fixed] Terminée4 votes 46 commentaires
I just bought a Huawei P10 and SwiftKey won't sync my account data. I've signed in, but it says last sync was "not synced" and if I hit the sync now button there is nothing that happens.
Any ideas? I can't even uninstall because apparently the keyboard is baked in to the os
Can't login, loops back to browser4 votes 10 commentaires
While trying to login to my swiftkey account, when I try to use my Google account, and it just loops back to browser. I tried it with my Microsoft account as well and it just keeps looping back to browser.
I'm using an LG V20, if that is a factor.
Apostrophe S Issue4 votes 7 commentaires
When I'm typing a name and need to use the possessive, I add an apostrophe and then an 's' - but when I hit the space key, SwiftKey (I use SwiftKey Beta) autocorrects by removing the 's' (leaving the apostrophe at the end of the name). It's a bit frustrating having to go back and add the 's' again, I'm hoping it can be fixed. Is anyone else having this problem as well?
Haptic Feedback4 votes 3 commentaires
I don't understand how to enable Haptic feedback in SwiftKey. The support article says
Opening the emoji panel, long-pressing the emoji/globe key,
and activating the 'emoji bomb' will all trigger small vibrations.
But i don't see an "Emoji Bomb" in the emoji panel.
I am using an iPhone 8 with iOS 11
Microphone4 votes 14 commentaires
love the app - understand that it defers to Google for voice to text which is fine but do any of the keyboards have the microphone button larger? I downloaded this app to have a larger keyboard but now it is harder to get to the microphone - may have to uninstall it if there is no fix
