SwiftKey Suggestions: I would like to see you add a couple of other "symbols" to the short you get when you press on the "Period Key" in three lower right. It appears there is room for 3-4 more. In order of preference, I would like to see: colon, semicolon dash, & forward slash (: ; - /). This would greatly speed up my text entry. I also wish the behavior of a press on the colon & semicolon reassembled the period & comma (i.e., Pressing the symbol after entry of a word places the symbol directly AFTER the word; NO space). Let me know if you have any suggestions. An option to go directly to "voice input of text", possibly associated with the "+ options" would also be helpful. Please let me know if you have any questions.../Ray

Teclado sumindo dos apss

Boa tarde. Poderiam fazer o favor de atualizar o aplicativo para um melhor funcionamento? O teclado vive sumindo e dando lugar para o original da Apple. A questão de teclado se adaptar a minha digitação não tem funcionado. Tenho digitado muito errado. A frequência de atualizações com inovação e melhorias é muito baixa.

How to add new words to predictions
0 votes
1 commentaire
Hello! I have read the article about this. When there's a new word that SwiftKey doesn't know, the word (b)should(/b) appear in the left side of predicted words. Then I should click it and boom, the word has been added to the dictionary. But no, the word I am typing amd SwiftKey doesn't know, does not appear anywhere where I could click on it and teach the word. Is this a bug? I have tried to see every setting but nothing has worked. Also, SwiftKey on Android learned words just by typing it and pressing space. But on iOS it doesn't seem to work like that.
Thank you for help!-Juha

Predictive text

Hello - great app. I've been using it on iPhone for years, only I've noticed very little improvement in terms of predictability in that time. My main complaint is its inability to predict text in context of the rest of the sentence or paragraph. Here are two words which the app frequently mistypes due to proximity of letters:
ask/all
list/lostThe text I just sent to my daycare provider is as follows and it got the above words confused. If the app were to be developed further, it should be able to detect wrong use of word in context of their respective sentences. Here is what I wrote:
Hi, how are you? Just a quick heads up, the girls list their TV privileges this week because they got in trouble :) Is it OK to please all them to do other activities today and tomorrow? Thanks and see you at 5!
Clearly "list" and "all" are wrong in the context of the above sentences. It would be great if the app could detect that and change the words proactively.
Thanks!

Swiftkey red underline is gone!

Hello everyone,,
I am using Samsung Galaxy S6 with Android 7.0, and here is the thing:
-
When I use Swiftkey, the red underline is missing.
-
When I switch back to Samsung keyboard, the red underline is working again!
So, what is the problem? I remember tech news that red underline is a spell checker feature included in the free netflix core Android OS to mark the misspelled words, and previously it was working with Swiftkey.
Can anyone assist me, or if you are a Swiftkey user on Android please tell me if you got the red underline or not?
Edit: spell checker option is not in the setting anymore! It has been moved to Samsung keyboard, is that a bug?
i.e. I can't do this:
Settings > system > language and input > advanced > spell checker > language > set English instead of system default.

Keyboard acting crazy on iPhone and iPad
2 votes
6 commentaires
Lately the keyboard is acting up very often. The following three things have been happening on and off during the last month.
It keeps closing and reopening as I type.
It changes to the regular keyboard making me choose SwiftKey after every word or two.
It is not smooth - after I begin typing a word it gives choices of another word but then resumes the current word.
Any ideas?

Glitchy keyboard used with Spark email app

I am experiencing very glitchy behaviour using the app with Spark. The response is slow, and the keyboard randomly switches from Swiftkey to the basic keyboard. I don't appear to be having this problem using Swiftkey with other apps. Any thoughts?

SwiftKey inserting text inside emoji when using cursor (might cause crashes)
1 vote
0 commentaires
SwiftKey inserts text into emoji when using cursor (3d touch on spacebar).
Reproduction steps:
1. Open message in iMessage -> Insert 🎉🎉🎉
2. Move cursor by 3d touch betwen second and third emoji -> insert D letter there (like this "🎉🎉D🎉" )
3. Text is inserted improperly inside emoji, on sending - app crashes
This issue occurs everytime for SwiftKey with above reproduction route, doesn't occur for native Apple keyboard.

Keyboard not functioning on sites added to homescreen

Hi all,
I use Swiftkey for several years now and am very pleased with it.
I have created several small websites for personal use. Some of them require input in text or number fields. When viewing the sites in Safari the Swiftkey keyboard works perfectly. But when the same site is added to the home screen it doesn't always work.
Any ideas where the problem could be? -
What do we have to do to get Japanese on iOS?

Hi!
I've been using Swiftkey for years on Android and just recently had to get an iPhone for work and found extremely puzzling the fact that after all these years iOS still does not have Japanese support.
Is there a reason for this? Like a system/OS/Software related reason? Or is it because you don't feel it is needed or important enough?
Could you please just let us know whether it is being worked on or if we should just give up on it?
If it's a money thing could you put a price on it? I'm sure lots of users would be willing to pay for Japanese support on iOS if there were reasons causing it to be more difficult to implement than on Android. I know I would pay to even beta test it. Stuff like this greatly impacts productivity and is more than worth the money in my opinion.

The keyboard is taking longer to open and not immediately typing when I tap or flow. It takes a few seconds and sometimes I have to close the keyboard and reopen it. It's almost like it's freezing up. It's happening frequently lately. The happens in iMessage, browsers , forms and notes.

One-handed keyboard?

Does Swiftkey support one handed keyboard?
If not, why havent Swiftkey added any support for one-handed keyboard? The standard mode is pretty useless on big screen phones such as the iPhone XS max / iPhone Plus modells. Swiping in such width with fullscreen keyboard is pretty annoying, and forces me to use both my hands when texting.

Would love to have an option for haptic feedback for SwiftKey iOS. I can't understand why they haven't added that yet, it seems really simple. I don't want to leave SwiftKey because of this, it's such a great keyboard.

Is SwiftKey not supported on iPhone XS or is there a different way of setting it up?
When I go to Settings>SwiftKey on my iPhone 8 there is an option there for Keyboards. On my XS there is no keyboards option.
I went into the add/keyboards section in IOS and there is no way to add SwiftKey anywhere.

Choosing real words over literals
0 votes
0 commentaires
A literal is a nonword that you inadvertently spell instead of a real word. Spell checkers should favour best- guess real words over literals. SwiftKey favours literals over real word best guesses by leaving literals in the centre panel. This is a big problem with swiftkey and makes it very inefficient (you have to monitor the 3 panels too much.). This needs to change...but I'm still waiting...years. When can this be addressed?
