change emoji gender
Con rispostaOkay how do i explain it. So, some of the emojis on my swiftkey keyboard are only male or female. For example ( 🤷) how do i pick the male one?
fyi i can see the male one when someone else is typing it.
Also, there's an option on gboard to pick it. I just don't like the keyboard. I prefer SwiftKey.
SwiftKey supports all emoji genders & skin tones only if the system of your phone supports them.
Here's the screenshot.
I see. Okay, thanks for the quick response. I guess it's from my end.
How can I change the default gender of the text prediction emojis? I.e. The gender of the suggested emoji is always male, how do I change that to female?
I'm having this problem, too, and I have a Samsung Galaxy S8 edge. It's the latest, with the latest version of the os. So...?
Recently some male emojis are not showing anymore. They used to show, but suddenly they are missing.
This one for example was one I use frequently and now it is not available anymore:
Is SwiftKey really not going to address this issue? I have the paid version of this app that I purchased a very long time ago and don't appreciate you not supporting it. Obviously it's not an isolated issue. I only have Male options of all races & no females. This is a SwiftKey problem, not an Android problem because it works when I use the Samsung keyboard. Please resolve!
When I type the word "shrug" the emoji prediction shows me 🤷♂️. What do I type to see the female versions of these?
Is there a way to set male or female Emojis as a default?
So... this just isn't gonna be addressed? I only have female emojis, and only some of them. It can't be my LG G4 because I had all the gender and race emojis until recently.
So it's SwiftKey.
Could you maybe address this, please?
I see many people still have this issue. Well, i gave up on Swifkey after years of use. I find google's native keyboard much better now.
I've been trying to change the gender on my keyboard for sometime now. I see I'm not the only one having this problen, is it never going to be resolved or what?
No, they will never solve it. They seem to think it is not their problem, but with the device. Weird thing is that it was working for me, then suddenly it simply stopped working, probably after some update of their software.
No change at all in my device, then some of the mostly used by me simply vanished. Even if it uses whatever the phone supports as they claim, I think they should make it possible to select independent of the device, like Whatsapp for instance. With Whatsapp I'm still able to select the ones I want, only with Swiftkey directly that I can't anymore. It used to be useful, but not anymore.
One thing I noticed is that everything that is great and works perfectly is doomed after being bought by Microsoft. They are specialized in turning something great into something that, let's say it politely, is as bad as anything can be. For example, Skype used to be good, not anymore.
All you have to do is long press the emoji you want to use to change it's sex or skin color.
If I type the word shrug, I get this emoji 🤷♂️ by default. If I long press that emoji I can change the skin color only, not the gender - which is stupid.. To get this emoji 🤷♀️, I have to scroll through the whole list.
Weird works for me. I think the amount you use a certain emoji plays a part
I had the same problem Samantha morpaw. When I searched something it always came up male. I just had a thought and tried it and it fixed it.
My thought was if I searched It could I hold my finger on it and delete it. I did and now when I search shrug if comes up as a female 🤷♀️
Oooohhh.. I will have to try this with one I don't use as much
yes just had this prob today. long press on the guy for facepalm. press trashcan on right of all races. now i only get the female to predict! thanks kendall! i upvoted you. i was about to uninstall lol.
Maybe if we use words like "gender discrimination" they'll change it? 😉
Meh. Been a paying customer for several years now... Guess it's time to find a new keyboard... One that accepts my girl parts.
This is broken, again, as of recently. Notice, SwiftKey only shows certain genders, now. Both genders are not available, anymore. Most are preselected female, but one is selected male, here:
There's nothing wrong on my end.
Thanks, RabidMonkey OnCrack,
That doesn't help me resolve my situation, but it's good to know that it should working right, at least.
Anyone else have ideas why this is working for some and not others?
No matter what I do or how long I press or even if it looks like it is the emoji I want it still defaults to the boy.
Had to go into the keyboard setting, smart typing and turn off suggest emjios.
