Beta not allowing new words
Today I typed the word "Jewdas" (a Jewish organisation) but SwiftKey Beta's three predictions did not include "Jewdas" itself, only alternatives. Switching to SwiftKey's normal version, "Jewdas" was available as it should be.
Hi Steve, I was not able to reproduce. You can always try a fresh install. Or maybe kill the beta keyboard and try again.
Will do, thanks :-) By the way, I've noticed that emoji history has stopped showing emojis I've typed myself as text. Is this another thing that should be fixed by a reinstall?
We rolled out a new feature called emoji prediction. I believe the emoji panel could be defaulting to that for you. The tab will have a crystal ball on it. If that is the case, swipe right over one panel to see your recents.
Oh I can see recents, but it used to show emojis I'd typed myself as text, e.g. :-) but now it only shows yellow faced emoji characters, which is not the same thing.
Hi Steve,
I don't recall SwiftKey ever showing the recents for ASCII emoji =) =], etc
There is a dedicated tab for this, which you now have to scroll to the right to see. Since we added that crystal ball, that last category is hidden.
See if that works.
Ah then, there's nothing that can be done. History has rolled over the very memory of such a thing 😊. Have a good day!
