How Do I Get Rid Of This Dedicated Minimize Bar Below On SwiftKey Keyboard?
SOLUTION RESOLVED! SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM OF MY POST TO GET SOLUTION!
So I just upgraded form. The Note 9 to the Note 10+ 5G today with T-Mobile and did smart switch and then enabled SwiftKey Keyboard and logged into my account for backup.
Then I noticed this dedicated bar all the way acrossed and below my Keyboard that has a dedicated minimize arrow button pointing down on the left side and a dedicated switching keyboard button on the right.
This was not on my previous phone which was a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 using SwiftKey Keyboard Beta. I don't like this as it is in the way from where I normally press my thumb for the spacebar as I want to press lower down at the bottom of my phones screen and also it makes the keyboard taller and obstructs more of the view on my screen when the keyboard is open. How do I remove this?
I am using Swiftkey Keyboard Beta and have tried looking in the settings and can find anything. Here is a attached picture of what I'm talking about. https://ibb.co/yqCsK1L
SOLUTION UPDATE:
Thanks to
with the solution he posted below. This worked for me on my Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ 5G device running Android 10!
This issue is not related to SwiftKey Keyboard itself becausett rather a system feature. You beed tongo to your phones settings (Not the SwiftKey Settings.) so Settings> Display> Navigation bar> Toggle the switch to turn off "Show button to hide keyboard." and that removes the bar.
Also with that note SwiftKey SHOULD update their support notes saying that they do not have a dedicated minimize button and say that you can have a dedicated minimize button by doing the following steps to toggle the switch to on.
I also have this issue and its driving me insane however mines with the S10+
Hopefully someone gets back to us. I'm glad I'm not the only one facing this problem.
I'm having this too and it's making me nuts. Waiting for a solution...
Still nothing from support?!?! Why?!?! What phone do you have?
It seems like it's the Latest Galaxy + phones unless you ha e something different.
Android 10 on a Galaxy 10. It's odd because I didn't update nothing.
I've had the same issue, here's a solution.
Go to Settings-Display-Navigation bar- and then Uncheck "Show button to hide keyboard."
I am using oneplus 6t, there is no option "show button to hide keyboard"
@Imran Zahid I'm not quite sure. Try to see, it should msybe be in the navigation bar settings.
