"shift keys" / special keys won't show

So I got a new phone, the Xperia XZ3, and I'm trying to make the keyboard show all the special keys, but can't find the setting for it. On my last phone, the XZ, it showed those characters as standard, being greyed out on top of the main keys. They still work tho, if I long press M I get / but it's absurd to have to memorize all of them. Any1 know how to make them appear?
