Always replace one word with another?
I constantly find myself "fat-fingering" the keyboard and typing "fir" when I meant to type "for".
I am hardly ever talking about evergreen coniferous trees in the family Pinaceae.
Can Swiftkey be configured to replace "fir" with "for" the next time I type it by mistake?
Hello, thanks for reaching us. Unfortunately, I'm not sure that I understand your question. Would you mind sending over more details? If you want the SwiftKey keyboard to stop predicting the word 'fir', then you can, Long press (tap and hold) the word on the prediction bar. Tap 'OK' from the pop-up. Thank you!
Sorry. I meant:
Every time I type "fir" I want it to auto-correct to "for".
You could use the shortcut/alias function in the clipboard tab. Just save the word "for" to your pinned clipboard and set it's shortcut to "fir". You have to tap on manage in the clipboard tab to go directly to the settings page for it and there is a "add a new clip" option. Great for converting internet slang into real words without having to unlearn old habits. tks = thanks, np = no problem, k = ok, etc.
