Hi,
Many days ago I started to face a problem with themes. Each time I restart my device the theme seems to be reset to default one and when I first use Swiftkey I get this message:
When I click on CHANGE button I see my usual theme (Forest) is still selected:
But in fact it's not. The only way I can make Forest theme active again is to select another one (usually Pulse Yellow) and then select Forest again. When done, Forest remains the active theme until I restart my device to face the same problem again.
Any idea?? This is getting very annoying now...
Thanks!
Since the latest update on SwiftKey Beta, when I try to type anything in Chrome, it doubles up letters, and makes up words. For example, I tried to type "beautiful" & I even selected it from the suggestion bar to make sure that the right word was put in, but it entered in as beabefii. Showed up properly on the suggestion bar, but wouldn't enter right. Even trying to peck out words spelling them one letter at a time, it's changing the letters and words. I can't function that way, obviously. So far I've only noticed in Chrome, I haven't tried in text or YouTube yet. Please fix! Also, even before the last update, Anytime I typed "I'm" or "I'll" or "I'd" - even though the correct word was highlighted in the suggestion bar, as soon as I'd start a new word, it would change it to "I". Also the spacing when using quotation marks, parentheses, and hyphens was wrong, either putting a space between where there shouldn't be one, or not allowing a space where there should be. For example : see just there there shouldn't be a space between the word "example" and the colon. Another example,"No space" & couldn't manually insert one.
I have English (QWERTY) and Farsi languages installed. Prior to today I could choose between English and Farsi but now I have Farsi and English/Farsi. With the latter I get predictions in both languages and I don't want this. How can I get back to having English and Farsi separately?
Hi can anyone help?
For some reason for another, when I long press the microphone so start to voice type, the words used to appear as i went along, but now its all stopped all i get a the Google Microphone popup and then have to wait for the words appear then click on them.
I've looked at setting and can't seem to find anything?
Anyone got any suggestions. thanks
Is a one-handed keyboard in your product roadmap? If so, what is a realistic timeline on when to expect it? I will return to using it at that point and it will be my default keyboard indefinitely.
Please provide an option to turn off transliteration in Hindi because we don't always need it. Also transliteration causes huge delay when you type using swipe. When I turn off Hindi and then use swipe to type then there is no delay.
Hi, I have five languages active. Three of them (it, en, eo) use the latin alphabet, one is Russian and one is Japanese.
Before the most recent update (I believe on Aug 31th), they were divided into three keyboards in Swiftkey: it/en/eo, ja, ru. When I switched to Japanese, I still had the latin alphabet on the keys, but upon typing, I could compose Japanese words, the prediction came up with kana and kanji, and everything was fine.
After the most recent update, the stand-alone Japanese keyboard disappeared and Japanese got bundled with my three latin languages (now ja/it/en/eo). Now when I type Japanese words I do not really know how to switch from romaji to kana/kanji. No kana/kanji predictions appear.
I would appreciate help to solve this issue.
Let me know if there is any more information I can provide.
Thank you for your attention.
While typing numbers input in any app's PIN field, the keyboard lags and leaves a line trail.
this seems to be a bug in the emoticons button next to the Send button. This button on the default Samsung keyboard works fine but in SwiftKey, it crashes the keyboard and effectively bricks the phone.
Only work around I've found is to use a dedicated emoticons button that can be turned on in the SwiftKey settings.
Hello,
I figured That on my New Samsung S8 - Swiftkey Not Working Properly & Sometimes even Not Responding (Android 7).When opening Chrome,WhatsApp for example.!
On All Apps, that requires anything to be typed in.Swiftkey Simply not Responding, only After 3-5 Attempts of typing.!
Rebooting My Phone & Reinstalling SwiftKey as well as even resetting the My phone to factory defaults and bringing in all my apps and settings again did not solve the issue. I find This Very very Annoying!
I am That very Close to simply Deleting SwiftKey from my Phone.!
Do you even Aware to This Bug/Problem?
There's Any Way to Solve This issue?!.
Waiting for Your Sincere Answer...
Best Regards.
Joseph.
When I enter text, the last word is underlining while Swiftkey is active. If I send that email in that state, the underlining becomes part of the transmittal and looks really bad to my customers. What can I do? I don't need the underlining to know Swiftkey is looking at that word in normal usage.
Keyboard is freezing and typing slowly, when press keys it types after few seconds, it happens in Gmail app and Inbox by Gmail both apps, I have also asked to Gmail team but they says it is the issue of swift key, kindly do the needful and reply with solutions
GIFs are too big to actual send to anyone. Converts them back to regular messages after failed attempt.
Have you guys any plans to add Myanmar Language in swiftkey?
Myanmar has two major different fonts in use, First one, Zawgyi which is widely used in social media. Second is Unicode.
This is the first time it's happened to me.
I don't need to talk about it a lot, because the video speaks for itself.

Recently I noticed that the question mark in arabic keyboard was rotated.
This one is english ? Open to left
This one is arabic ? This should have the open from the right
The arabic one should be rotated
May I suggest here that the above mentioned option should be added?
It would be extremely helpful because in Poland when writing SMS messages with Polish tittles (ex. ą, ę, ł, ó) instead of ex. 1 SMS there goes 3 (Polish tittles so to say 'consume the capacity" of one SMS), which equals bigger price for texting.
Hey,
Since my last phone update swiftkey misses about every second key input. The mobile does vibrate and the letter flashes on the keyboard as it is supposed to do, yet it doesn't show up in the text field.
I don't always have this error, it works fine for a couple of days, but doesn't go away until I deactivated swiftkey and waited a couple of hours, once it showed up. The timing seems to be random.
I am using swiftkey 6.5.9.21on a Nubia n1 nx541j with android 6.0
A reinstall didn't solve this issue.
when using SK in safari with iOS (not version specific) first letters double when selecting predictive offers. Also, backspace to remove typing will stop even though there are still characters present, sometimes several words.
I love SK on android but the iOS version is extremely problematic, these bugs have existed for me for years. I only occasionally switch to SK in hopes they have been resolved, only to find not. Device is iPad Air.
I saw someone else half address this, but whenever I try to add a semicolon after using flow input I get a space been the last word and the punctuation. If I want to use a semicolon or make my own made-up-phrase, I either have to backspace the last letter of what I've swiped (flowed) so it knows to look at what comes next as individual characters, or use the arrow keys to back up after hitting that semicolon and backspace spaces. Same applies to hyphenated words or series of words, but there's no reason to have the semicolon/colon/hyphen or dash not but the end of the preceding word. Particularly with the semicolon. I tend to like my punctuation as a way to fragment what would be a run on sentence and other areas where it would be appropriate but SwiftKey wants there to be space on either side of the ";" character or when using hyphenations. It should always hug the word to the left like a comma would; this range is same idea applies to full-on commas as well: it wants to have a space on either side instead of jumping back to the end of the last word like typing a period would. Why not give some (slightly) more obscure punctuation and symbols the period and comma treatment where after flowing a word it auto-spaces, but if a period, comma, or second space is input next that keyboard will smartly insert the formatting and punctuation before the auto-space between words.
Another hiccup I have that's always a fight is, for example, I want to list a file extension, SwiftKey will fight me to the pain several times in a row to not have it try to reformat that section to a URL.
It's to the point that I will flow a word, [backspace], [backspace], retype last letter of word and then long-pressing the "n" key for my semicolon to be in the proper place.
Side note:if the keyboard has to autocorrect the second half of a hyphenated word or expression it will add a space between the hyphen and the word it fixed looking like "blahblib- blahblah", assuming it had to fix my 'blahblah' for me, when the goal was "blahblib-blahblah".
SwiftKey is still hands down the most robust, well-rounded keyboard and I want you guys to continue to dig in your heels, keep pushing the envelope, and retain that innovation and magic autocorrect advantage without it getting too bogged down and keep it first time user friendly!
Keep up the stellar work guys!
-Ty
Also if you wanted to add gravy it'd be nice to have a way to flow on a larger screen (5.5" on my Pixel XL) when I'm manipulating the phone entirely with one hand without totally scrunching up the keyboard with the one-handed layout.
I have English, Chinese, Japanese and German enabled. I find the keyboard in general rather laggy for me, but nothing unbearable. The exception is Japanese, which I am virtually unable to use, both because of extreme lag and because the keyboard can't seem to handle simple phrases or words and will stop showing suggestions.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Is it an issue with the Japanese keyboard itself, or is it because SwiftKey is becoming overwhelmed by having to make predictions in four languages simultaneously? If it is the latter, would it be possible to switch off this function and switch languages manually? I understand that this is a vital function for many people, but I personally don't need to type in all four languages at once.
Thanks very much! :)
Hi guys!
Thought about using SwiftKey as my regular keyboard after the new flow update. But there are still some details I have problems with:
- spaces before or after using a hyphen and colon
- quick reply limitations on the lockscreen (I know, never gonna happen)
Best regards
How can I install Turkish F keyboard?
Здраствуйте. куда с русской клавиатуры исчезла буква “ё“. Это же очень и очень ПЛОХО.! Моя фамилия Кремлёв. И как скажите мне проходить авторизации? Какой ........ до этого додумался?
Sometimes the keyboard stays on screen and I cannot find a button to close it. Please tell me how I can do this .
The swipe functionality on SwiftKey has gotten worse each update. it's getting less accurate than before. Being able to swipe word or even a sentence is very frustrating. SwiftKey needs to make the ability to swipe each word or sentence less effortless and more accurate. SwiftKey needs to be able to allow the user to swipe each word or sentence without having to be very accurate at swiping a word or sentence. Prediction typing is flawless on SwiftKey yet swiping word or sentence still needs a lot of work. The Google keyboard swipe functionality far surpass SwiftKey Flow. it's better at recognizing each word or a sentence using swipe. However, no keyboard out there is better than SwiftKey word predictions. Please, make the swipe (SwiftKey Flow) more accurate and less effortless. It's getting more and more frustrating to swipe each word or sentence on SwiftKey. The user has to be very very accurate just swipe a word or sentence.
Hi
Since the update a few days ago, when I insert an emoji into a text regardless how short it is, the SMS is automatically converted into an MMS. I was unaware this was happening until I ran out of credit and texts stopped sending.
I am currently with Tesco Mobile UK and get charged for every MMS. How do I stop this happening? I cannot see any settings on my Samsung S4 to stop this, only a warning that the SMS has been converted.
Thanks, Keith 😢
