Are you on Android or iOS? This topic isn't posted in the correct area of the forums as this section is pertaining to the app "SwiftKey Symbols".

The emoji used in SwiftKey is the standard Unicode Emoji that is compatible with every device on the market, this is why you cannot change it. Similarly to how some emoji used by iOS users appear as squares in Android and PC, this won't occur using the SwiftKey stock emoji. Please let me know which version of SwiftKey you're using so I can redirect this post to the correct area of our community!
    Happy Typing!

    I'm on Android.
How come every other keyboard out there have different kinds of emojis to choose from?

To put it simply Sara, because not every keyboard cares about the fluidity of usage between platforms. SwiftKey is productivity software, which means at its foundation, it is made to make communication easier across many platforms, which simply makes unicode emoji the best option for across the board understood communication.
