I switched over to SwiftKey since I could see my text boxes but I'm not use to the current layout of the keyboard. I prefer to have my symbols on the left and my numbers visible without tapping on their own tab. And I like to have my emoji tab right next to my space bar on the left and not have to hold down on enter/send to get them. And way to change that sorta thing on here?

[Feature Request] Customize where secondary characters are Respondida0 votos 1 comentário
Is there any way I can personalize my keeybord so I can decide myself wich symbols are where? Like this keeybord a lot, but the only thing missing for me is this. Now I have symbols visual above all the letters, and I just hold to use them. But I would love to organise and personalize them. "«»?!" this is some of the symbols I would like to put in other spots. But why nok just make it possible to reorganise all of the symbols over the characters? Or at least let me put wich ever I want above the number row (now there is no symbols or characters above)

How to prevent word combination predictions Respondida2 votos 1 comentário
Not only does SwiftKey often predict the wrong word but along with that it will predict that same word with another word after it taking up two of the three slots on my Android phone. Is there a way to illuminate this?
Better Than Swipe, But Still Some Work to Go Respondida0 votos 1 comentário
I used the Swipe keyboard for years before deciding to switch over to SwiftKey even I learned Swipe was soon to be orphaned. I can say without a doubt in my mind that 85% of all my phone frustrations were directly due to that program, however any time I thought of seizing back to tapping, I convinced myself it was a bad idea. So I now run SoftKey's standard (not beta) version on an Android 8.0, and wanted to provide you with a short list of things that whole not nearly as much, I'm starting to get annoyed by some of what I feel are bugs.
1. I mentioned this in a reply earlier, but I want it in my list, and it is VERY annoying. While despite all my SwiftKey spell checker functionality disabled, all the Android spell checker functions of, the keyboard insisted on changing words which I typed into some other word(s),which are almost always NOT what I was looking for. An I nursing something?
2. What dictionary or database of words are you using? The process which selects which words are recommended needs work. I delete fat more words than I add because of the number of obscure English words being offered. Users should never be looking at some word like 'Dunsmuir' in suggestions, I've never seen that word anywhere and will likely never use it.
3. One thing Swipe did a FAR better job than SwiftKeys of doing was guessing which words you are attempting to type. The difference was if I'm trying to type the word 'university', SwiftKeys had a very distinct pattern of covering as options different versions of the same word (in the case of our example: 'university', the word was offered as spelled, with the only other option being 'university's', which from a practical standpoint has very little value.
Swipe's approach, which instead provided the word as spelled correctly, but never seemed to repeat that word's possessive or other forms in the recommendations. Instead it appeared to determine if another word was possible based on slight input errors. So for our example, another term that would Swipe near or similar to 'university' could have been had the term 'trumpet' as a recommendation.
4. Spell checker is God awful. If I'm missing or have inserted where inappropriate, I feel the austen world be getting pretty close. Just to be clear, spell check and autocorrect are 2 different things.
That's it for now, thanks!!!!
Numbers Panel Respondida0 votos 1 comentário
In one of the old versions of Swiftkey the numbers panel showed numbers vertically (i.e. the way you see on a calculator) but now the numbers panel shows it as a row. I already have a row of numbers in my text panel, I usually switch to numbers panel when I want to enter big numbers (like credit card number) and it feels natural to use a calculator type layout to enter
can you please bring it back?

Unable to sync from old phone to new Respondida1 voto 12 comentários
I've been trying to save all my swiftkey data from my old S6 to new S8 and it logs into my google account without any issues, it says it is syncing, but the data does not transfer from my old phone to the new one.
I've got quite a lot of swiftkey data from maybe 2 years of useage, so I'd like to sync it if possible. Can this be done? I followed your guide below, but this does not work for me, the new phone still has no predicted words, no words completed, no words flowed etc after syncing.
My google account is set to sync app data if that makes a difference?
Can anyone guide me in the right direction please?

Themes Respondida2 votos 7 comentários
I've been a SwiftKey user since the very start of the app. I have used it in Android and iOS. One thing is missing: Why not let the user create their own theme? At least the ability to choose colors and fonts.
This would push your keyboard over the top!
Change case sensitive of already typed text Respondida3 votos 4 comentários
I've just changed from Windows Phone to Android and installed the Swiftkey keyboard.
On Windows Phone, if I wanted to switch a text or a whole message to upper or lower cases, I just selected all the text or the specific word and pressed the up arrow (that handles upper or lower) and it was converted. I checked that on Android I can convert the word pressing space after it. Can you please add this funcionality to it? It's a better and fast way to do it...
Keyboard Symbols 🌐 Respondida0 votos 1 comentário
Where is the 🌐 globe on the keyboard I see everything but that and I can't find it anywhere on the board, I am not sure, but I know that it's needed to enlarge the emoji. And SwiftKey Flows smoothly, I enjoy this board, help its just missing that 🌐
Deleting a whole wrong predicted word Respondida0 votos 3 comentários
I'm new to SwiftKey with my new Huawei phone but used similar with my previous Samsung.
When a word is predicted which is incorrect & it doesn't appear as an alternative, I'd like to delete the whole word rather than a letter at a time ~ previously for me, the default was to remove the word & start again.
I can't find this option in the settings, can anyone help please?

[Feature request] Voice recognition WITHOUT Google Respondida5 votos 5 comentários
Hi all. I've been using SwiftKey for a veeery long time and it's amazing. I really liked the voice integration but a while back I started to get away from Google products (yes, Android is from Google but you can strip quite a lot of their stuff from it) and I (sadly) discovered that after removing Google Search app the voice dictation stopped working.
SwiftKey is now owned by Microsoft and MS has it's own voice recognition. There is also a Common Voice project from Mozilla (https://voice.mozilla.org/) which should be more open/transparent (though they are only collecting data / training for now).
Having alternative voice input would be awesome!
