Emoticons with flow - possible? Respondida0 votos 1 comentário
The other day, I've migrated to SwiftKey from Swype keyboard that is no longer maintained. So far, so good but one thing is bugging me greatly.
In Swype, I was able to add something like ';)' to my dictionary. Then gliding from keys where ; and ) would be available as a long-press, I was able to get that emoticon.
In Swiftkey I've got ; symbol as a long press for N and ) as a long-press for L but gliding from one letter to the other only gives me word predictions like np and no.
Is it possible at all to save emoticons (or other words with symbol) and be able to access them through flow? I am not talking about using emojis here, just plain ol' emoticons

Set up a basic language Respondida0 votos 1 comentário
Hi, I am a user of Dutch SwiftKey. Very satisfying. Now I added an additional language = Arabic. To my great consternation, now the basic language on my phone is the Arabic one. I don't know this language, so this is a problem. For now I deleted the Arabic. What can I do to keep the Dutch as basic language and choose the Arabic when needed? Hope someone can be of help.

Keyboard crashing (?!) Respondida0 votos 16 comentários
I'm using ResurrectionRemix rom (5.8.5, based on Nougat 7.1.2) on OnePlus3.
After one of the latest updates the keyboard is constantly, not sure... crashing (my guess). There is no error but it frequently disappears while typing. I'm not hitting 'back' button and I'm 100% sure of this.

Two simple design flaws which want me to replace SwiftKey Respondida1 voto 11 comentários
I am using SwitfKey for a long time, but desperatly want to switch to mostly any other keyboard software, because since years, there are two catastrophic design flaws in the app, which could be solved in minutes of programming time:
1) The optional numeric bar just shows the numbers 1 to 0, and has no second layout... why! Every keyboard on this planet has easy access to ! for example on number key 1, but not SwiftKey
2) For Germany layout, it is catastrophic to access most important keys like ö ä ü ß in SwiftKey. For example: if you hold key u, the default selection is "<" instead of "ü" ... WHY!!! This is the most annoying thing for German customers.
Please change default selection for uoa to üöä.
Give easy and fast access to !?ß. The access through . is a mess and breaks usage flaw on normal keyboards.
Give option to manipulate the key layout and change keys you want to have.
Changing the language doesn't change the system spell checker Respondida1 voto 5 comentários
As I am typing this on my Swedish phone with the SwiftKey language set to English, I get red squiggles on every word that isn't Swedish. Using the Google keyboard and switching languages doesn't cause any problems, even when using multiple languages in the same textbox.,
Swiftkey opening in Facebook without explicit focus Respondida0 votos 2 comentários
I'm having an issue with Swifkey in the Facebook app in my Android smartphone. When I open a notification, focus is always placed on the comment box of the post and opens the keyboard without me touching on the comment box, so the keyboard covers part of the post. I don't know if this is a bug in Facebook app, the Android version I'm using or Swiftkey. I also have a tablet (Huawey Mediapad M3 8.4 with Emui 5), without this behavior. On the tablet, the keyboard only opens when I touch the comment box, which seems the correct behavior.
Device: Huawey Mate 10 Pro (BLA-L09).
OS: Emui 8.0.0 - Android 8.0 (build BLA-L09 18.104.22.168(C432)
Facebook app version: 22.214.171.124.96
Swiftkey version: 126.96.36.199

Text underlined in Swiftkey Beta? Respondida1 voto 7 comentários
Hello - Within the last couple of updates of the Swiftkey Beta app, underlined text has begun appearing in the predictions bar at times while I'm typing. I just switched back to the Swiftkey app and this underline does not appear ever so it doesn't appear to be a system-wide phone issue. What is this underline? I find this incredibly annoying, especially because there doesn't appear to be any discernible use for it. I just typed 'Is' and it was underlined. If this is going to be added to the regular app going forward, could we also get an option to turn it off? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Multilingual Predictions Respondida2 votos 9 comentários
It was reported 6 months ago and instead of fixing this issue you are busy adding themes and other languages.
Give us an option to turn it off or remove it.
If I am writing in English and I have 2nd language enabled I only want predictions from the 1st language that I am typing at that moment.

When I tap on text to correct in a text message the options come up in a little black window in which it is almost impossible to read the options. How do I change these colors to be readable? [Duplicate] Android - Showing red underlines for *all* words in second language Respondida1 voto 5 comentários
(Sorry for reposting this, since the last post was closed for further comments and I couldn't reply)
This is not an Android issue - see two screenshots below, one with GBoard, one with SwiftKey - both of them work fine for the first language (English), but for the second language (Hebrew), SwiftKey shows all words as misspelled. For GBoard, I also added a misspelled word at the end of the Hebrew text, just to show that the spell checker does work there.
The solution @Alpert referred me to here (below), turns off spell check entirely, which is not something I'm looking for - I do want it, but I want it to work properly.
For some reason, SwiftKey Android shows red underlines under *all* words in my second language (Hebrew), like they're all misspelled. It does work fine for the first language (=English).
This issue doesn't happen when I switch to another keyboard.
[Feature Request] Option to turn off flow through space Respondida4 votos 3 comentários
Much as some individuals may find the 'flow through space' feature useful, I find it is often an encumbrance.
When flowing words, especially those on the bottom row, any accidental overshoot downwards automatically inserts a space, forcing a correction. Is it possible to include a toggle to disable this feature?
Ctrl+Key hotkeys Respondida8 votos 6 comentários
I'm not that sure if I've got the right place to make suggestions, but I have an idea for SwiftKey.
I've recently seen on a Huawei mobile someone using the default keyboard like this:
It was swiping from the Swipe button (Bottom-left. It's second function was to go to settings) to the letter A and all the text was getting selected, just like a Ctrl+A on the PC.
Swipe button + X was cutting the text. Swiping from the Swipe Button to D was opening Google searching the selected text. + C was copying, +V pasting the text.
And these are only a few of the cool features it has. It would be nice if we would have them, as the Huawei keyboard still has problems on other things like the dictionary for some language & things.
And by the way, thank you for SwiftKey, the fastest keyboard on the market. :D
