Amazing that many years after the initial comment no option has been added to completely remove predictions. As I use 2 languages this is more of an hindrance for me. Larger keys would be so much better. It is a bit sad that developers get so blinded.

"Not sure why doing "no language selected", but the language model is the most important feature of SwiftKey.."

I created an account for this, you see, I am Filipino, however I speak and write in an entirely different regional Filipino language than what is referred to as "Filipino" which is really just the local language of the Philippine capital.

There are 175 languages in the Philippines, so setting my keyboard language as "Filipino" is actually a hindrance to my typing, as well as the other almost hundred million of Filipinos that do not speak the national capital's "Filipino" and have their own spelling, grammar and sentence structure.

Turning off languages is very important because this language bar that you say is the number one feature only eats up space. Don't get me wrong it's good for English, but that's it.

I'm just going to add my voice here. Please add an option to hide the prediction bar altogether. Especially getting in the way when using physical keyboard. SwiftKey is fantastic for providing those physical keyboard options why not just add this one? At least on Android 12 when using physical keyboard you can hide it after it pops up but you need to do that every time you tap within your text input field to move the cursor for instance.
Thanks in advanced for considering that again.
Pretty shocking that it was suggested by so many people all those years ago and has still not made the cut. Sounds also really straight forward to implement.

Hi Stéphane Lenclud, thank you for your suggestion :-) While we can't action every individual idea, customer feedback helps us to guide the decisions we make around your keyboard.
