    Hello,

These data you mentioned are stored locally, like any other keyboard apps.

What's synced is the purchased themes and more importantly: the customized (personal) words.

    Hi Sara,

Which data won't load? Can you specify a bit?

All of my typing history, data, & stats; heatmap, taps saved, words predicted, etc.  What else is supposed to sync besides that?

The clipboard should be included in the 'data' that syncs across devices. I work around this by adding something to my Evernote account (which syncs everything across devices) and copying it down the clipboard on both devices. I would love to not have to do that.

I installed SwiftKey on a new phone, but what about the dozens of precious clips that I have created over the past year on my old phone?  Oh, no!  I have to recreate all of those.  Holy smokes!  There should at least be an option under Backup and Sync in settings to backup and sync my clips if I want to do that.  At the very least, please create an export / import option so that I can move all of my clips to another device.

I have spent hours creating my clips.  To think that they are not backed up anywhere also scares me for with my phone will eventually crash or get lost.

Loving your keyboard. Clipboard sync is important because it saves time in a lot of typing 'emoji' i use across all my work devices. These are important emoji symbols used for project management shortcuts in writing. Having to retype & readd all those for each device (+when upgrading every year to new devices) takes 40min per device. Multiply that by 250million downloads - that is a lot of human hours you guys can save. Thank you so much for all your wonderful work. I really appreciate the ease.

The most useless keyboard app. It won't
    Sync across devices as purported!

Is it possible to know where data are stored in the device.,in order the user to copy them in the new device and go further in the sync process? I cannot believe that changing the device I lose all information on my typing behavior!

Hey Alpert, I've just gone through a dozen of these complaints and everywhere you say that while the typing stats, themes and settings are local, the learned words themselves are suppposed to be synced between devices, and a lot of us users are unable to sync our learned words onto our new devices.

I broke my 2 year old phone, where prediction was working, on June 30th. I switched to a 3 or 4 year old Galaxy J7, where the predictions continued to work. But now, I've bought a Nokia 8.1, and try as I might no number of reboots, reinstalls or syncs are making my predictions or learned words work, even though they still exist in my saved data on the swiftkey website, and also work on both the old phones (Lenovo Z2+ and Galaxy J7)

Both the old phones stopped updating by Android 7, and hence I don't think they have the newest versions of the app, so maybe the error is in newer versions, but other users on these forums have tried older versions too to no success.

While it's not impossible to live without my old predictions, it's what we users have become used to, and it's what Swiftkey has promised us. It would be great if you could help provide a solution to this problem.

This is a disaster! Because I thought the sync problem might have something to do with Google, I switched to Microsoft for syncing. Now it seems all my predictions are gone now. What a mess. 😰😵😡
