Same here! Super frustrating that this pops up even when I have my emoji prédictions turned off.

Honestly I'd just want the plain smilies (which is the actual last tab on emoji tabs), but even the "recents" tab is better than the quick emoji...
They definitely need to figure that out. It should be a switchable feature, as it isn't streamlined enough to be usable, and even then, I doubt I'd want to use it. As it gets better, it should still have a switch to turn it on or off.
Yes, Iam just baffled how stupid this is. When I go for emoji, I want to use the tab I used the last time, as it was working for years this way. Iam not going to use any fancy pictures as an insane teenage girl. Im using like 5 plain text smileys. GET IT BACK
This problem went away couple months ago but it's back all of sudden! I'm just going to stop auto update next time they fix this
