Swiftkey constantly changing size to smallest.

Having the exact same problem. Worked fine on my LG G4, just upgraded to a V35 and no matter what size I select it always reverts back to Medium. Running v7.1.0.19 w/Android 8.0.0.0
I have an LG G7 and to me the size keeps reverting to the big size instead of the very big one. It happens everytime that the OS closes the keyboard to free ram or when I try to manually trigger the bug by force closing it manually. Is that the case also for you?
I was kind of hoping that the problem was limited on the beta so that I could switch to the stable branch but this seems more widespread than anticipated
I didn't find triggering event of it, but it might be closing keyboard by OS. When I set it back to medium, it lasts for a few hours and then it's back on smallest size. I have stock ROM 8.0.0, build OPR1.170623.032, SW version: V20b-EUR-XX.
I'm using also Galaxy S4 LTE with LineageOS 15.1 - Android 8.1 and there's not such problem, works fine.
Same thing is happening to me on the LG G7. Super annoying!

-If I restart my phone, it resets to the smallest size
-If I use speech-to-text the keyboard will reset to the smallest size
-On occasion, it will reset to the smallest size just because
