Every time I flow a word now, the middle suggestion throbs/blurs for a fraction of a second.

I feel like it's going to give me a headache.

If this is intentional, please make it stop!

Using the new s8+, and even with the keyboard size set to the smallest, it's still really large.

Mostly happens with the highest resolution on the phone, 2960x1440.

Samsung Galaxy Note Five reverts back to Samsung keyboard each morning when I turn phone on each morning. How do I stop this?

After installing the update available on the 18th Apr 2017, the top line of the keyboard just says : "Loading predictions".
I Tried to uninstall/install again and it doesn't go away. I have the English, Portuguese and French dictionaries as I had previously. Any ideas?

I'm a long time SwiftKey user who actually paid to use the app. I've been very patient hoping some improvements would come. I love the keyboard, it's second to non that I have tried however, there are two main issues I have and they are both to do with the prediction bar.

First and most annoying issue I have is word prediction suffixes. It seems like 99% of the time the suffix to the word I'm typing is the wrong contextual suffix. This makes me have to type out the whole word instead of using your built in shortcut.

The second issue I have is spellchecker. It's basically useless if you've misspelled or mistyped the word early,within the first few letters. Particularly if you simply use the wrong vowel. I have a good vocabulary, but I've never been a particularly strong at spelling. It would be nice if misspelled words could be picked up and corrected even when the misspelling occurs within the first few letters.

Does it all the time when it should only do it at the beginning of the sentence. Pain in the butt. Thanks

Is there any shortcut to Switch Between Languages? Every time I have to go to settings to select required Language. Very Lengthy Process.

As much joking that you see nowadays on auto-correct; I do like it. However, it can be a hassle at times when you are trying to search something on Google or you are trying to enter a URL in the address bar of your browser. Can this be turned off on Swiftkey Keyboard? Or is this even a Swiftkey issue? So far the only solution I see is to turn it off for all functions. When you enter the "." for .com you run into an issue no matter what because the app seams to recognize it as the end and start of a sentence. Thanks. 

I accidentally deleted two predictions (this is before I made backup) and now I can't get those emojis back. What do I do? I used them lots and they still don't show up

Did you recently change auto correct so now a mistake is highlighted? Something is ďifferent and worse. Now l can't seem to block predicted words that I commonly mistrial the keypad.

I do not require the feature and it is often a hindrance.

My Google kicks out SwiftKey. How can I put SwiftKey on the screen?

When I go to enter a URL or search in Adblock browser, and type the first letter, "a" for example, it automatically spells out "arstechnica.com" and won't allow me to write over that choice. If I try to delete it and start over it just happens again. I need to type a word and a space, then delete the auto filled stuff. This is infuriating! Doesn't happen with Samsung keyboard, only SwiftKey.

I've updated my phone to the last version of Android nougat newly. But unfortunately the size of the keyboard got too big.
I use 2560*1440 resolution.
I hope SwiftKey team will fix it soon in new update.

Is it possible to add a feature where the keyboard animates while closing (E.g. Sliding Down) and opening (E.g. Sliding Up)? Thanks for reading!

I've been a SwiftKey user since the very start of the app. I have used it in Android and iOS. One thing is missing: Why not let the user create their own theme? At least the ability to choose colors and fonts.
This would push your keyboard over the top!

I really appreciate details like adjusting sound and vibrate with really fine adjustment, which alternatives neglect.

Things I wish it had:
*hyphenation and colons, etc are added with a space making it difficult to add new hyphenated words.

*backspace has to be held down to delete wrong words. I realize this preference may vary but I've gotten used to a backspace resulting in immediate deletion of entire wrong word, not only by a long press.

*wish the top and bottom bars were smaller

*wish the top bar had more suggestions and or scrolled right

*when the accent and unusual characters menu is disabled I wish holding down a key double long still offered the accent and unusual characters which turn out to be really hard to access unless it's enabled. Alternatively one could long press the number option for additional key maps.

Overall a great feeling and functioning, intuitive, fun keyboard comparable to an apple product and that is a high complement.

Hi. I'm giving SwiftKey a very thorough beta test, and want to provide my feedback.

Literally one thing is driving me nuts, and that is the inability to map the character we desire into each key's long-presses. I see people all over complaining non-stop about where keys are positioned, and yet SwiftKey promotes itself as highly customizable with a target audience of those who are transitioning from default OS keyboard configurations, and have often trained themselves to use those configurations. I don't know about you, but I'm a tech guru and it takes "many months" of continuous work to remap my brain on the position of where the special characters are located.

I believe there should be, first of all, Presets on what Samsung keyboard, Android keyboard, and all the other default OS keyboards have mapped for long-presses. SwiftKey can choose to keep their configuration in their preset and even make that the default configuration, but I'm here to say that the absence of this feature is one of the largest reasons people do not want to transition to SwiftKey.

Second, there needs to be the ability to map long-presses to whatever characters we desire. More prudently, the ability to map even the MAIN keys to what we desire. Imagine no more disgruntled hate speeches on why "this or that is not positioned there"

Everyone cannot agree on the same configuration. Please consider this in your future updates.

I recently got a S6 less than a month ago, and I feel the Swiftkey on this device lags at times. Pressing the symbols button leads to nothing, which makes me hit the button several times before it actual works.

Anybody know how to fix the lag? Device is 3-4 weeks old!

Since (unknown update), the gesture mode swipe down to hide does not work in 99% of the tries. The keyboard tries to do anything, but hiding, types the first key the finger touches the moment it hits the display, without even starting a gesture recognition, or does whatever.

Please fix this, it's really annoying, because the damn keyboard has no close/hide button. There are thousand of forms which does not trigger a close button, for example when you want to write a rating on the Play Store, and the damn SwiftKey is in the foreground, over the input test field.

Asked a friend to try, and for him it's broken too.

1. Fuzzy Chinese can't be turned off. I already turned off all the fuzzy options but still, when I type in jianpin, it turns into one fuzzy Chinese character. For example, if I type "gsm", it returns 干 instead of 干什么。

2. The input never learns new words. Same example as above, I've typed "gsm" so many times but it still doesn't remember what I what it to be.

3. A little improvement would be great : when I type one character, in the bar that I can choose characters from, there are only 4 choices in a row. It would be better if one single character can take less space and make more characters in a row.

I turned off autocorrect in English, but sometimes when I typed a word wrong and then delete part of it to correct it, then type another word, it autocorrects me into 2 words that it thinks the words should be .

When I want to correct something in the middle of a word I place the cursor on the spot (for example if I forgot an 'a' somewhere).

I then get a prediction, and when I press spacebar, only the part before the cursor is getting replaced. Not the part behind the cursor.

I find that really annoying. Samsung Keyboard replaces the whole word in that case. So I can type on.

Now I need to manually erase the part that is being left behind the cursor.

Is there a way to configure it the way Samsung keyboard handles it?

This happens random and seldomly, but it does.

Sometimes when I have the keyboard open, and switch to another app, the keyboard doesn't retract.

When I first downloaded and installed this app I was able to select Spanish. However for totally unknown reasons my Samsung Android phone continually switch the keyboard back to Google. Now when I attempt to select Swiftkey I don't get any any option to select the Spanish keyboard. I have uninstalled and re-installed twice without success. There is no place for me to select the Spanish keyboard. This is lousy software totally lacking in logical intuition. I cannot imagine what kind of mentality wrote the code for this rubbish. .
