Hi guys, I know this may be silly, but whatsapp has just included the fox emoji a few weeks ago, which us awesome (I love foxes) it would be super cool if you guys had a fox emoji. Previously I would always type and the keyboard would predict my emoji, now however, because I use the fox in every text/message, I often go to the actual apps emoji selection instead of the SwiftKey emojis through predictions

I'd like SwiftKey to fix double spaces everywhere.

I often make those kind of mistakes and I like when it fixes some of the spacing, but sometimes I edit a word before punctuation and make an  extra space by mistake - that's what I need fixed.

And generally, when it detects double space where one shouldn't be, it should fix it.

I've used SwiftKey (and SwiftKey Neural) for a few years on several devices. Recently I got hold of a Pixel C and the accompanying physical keyboard, both of which are great. 

However, I've noticed that the "..." button on the keyboard (which brings up symbols etc has no effect when the default keyboard is SwiftKey. That is with GBoard, touching "..." gives me access to all the extra keys and symbols. With Swiftkey it just acts as a Right-Alt key.

Is there a stetting anywhere in SwiftKey?

Is it something you're aware of and are working on?

Is it something you're aware of but can do nothing about due to Google having something locked down?

Any advice would be awesome, thanks. I have the beginnings of an idea in the back of my head to use IFTTT to switch to GBoard when the device sees the physical board, and back to SwiftKey when not...

The space key takes up the space of ➍ keys but has zero functions except, ugh, space and the language switch button which doesn't seem necessary nowadays when the keyboard works in English just fine (with predictions and all) even with a foreign language keyboard always on.

It's space not very well used, is it not? My proposal is that it would get a new look and new functionality: In lieu of one, we would get four buttons which all still do work as the space button but each of them would get their unique secondary functions. One's function — tongue switch. There rest is up to you. ✌

I was wondering if there was any way to setup autocomplete hotkeys for use with swiftkey and a physical keyboard.

Twice in the past day or so, Swiftkey has suddenly minimized to just the predictions, the keyboard presumably off the bottom of the screen.

One time, I reset the phone, and that restored it. I wouldn't be here posting, but just a few minutes ago it happened again. This time I disabled and re-enabled Swiftkey and that fixed it...but if this keeps happening, I obviously will not find it worth having to do that each time.

I don't know how to reproduce this, per se. When it happens, it is that way in all apps. Both times it was initially in the AT&T default texting app, but that's probably coincidence, because it's what I use most.

I noticed that after the latest update there is no more auto space after swift, please bring it back!

After the last update the auto spacing after predicting a word has gone. It has just destroyed all the productivity that SwiftKey had been giving to me.

No, this is not a feature for Android beta version. After the last update, this becomes a bug for me and many others that are complaining about it.

I've noticed that my keyboard no longer inserts a space after the word I type using the flow method. It's quite frankly obnoxious since I use a combination of flow and prediction bar; every time I want to place punctuation, I have to type the character, see that there's now a space between the character and the word, then backspace both and retype the character. In addition, the prediction bar is now useless since it no longer predicts, only shows me the word I just typed. I have been through the meager settings to try and fix this, but to no avail.

after the recent update , auto spacing prediction is not working, I have to manually press space button to get the next predicted word. which makes typing slow. and it is really embarrassing.
please bring back the old settings and my keypad freezing frequently.

Usually when I swipe on the keyboard, after I complete a word, on keyboard release, SwiftKey inserts the predicted word followed by a space.
But now it doesn't behave that way anymore: after I swiped the cursor stays attached to the predicted word and a space is inserted only after I touch the keyboard again.
How can I go back to the previous mode?

Hello team,

I know it's me who's raising about this issue again. Regardless the android version, phone model, and apps, Chinese typing lags hugely while taping on the suggestion on the prediction bar. It takes one or two seconds to get the suggestion typed into the text box. It happens since the 5-language support, which means it has been 4 or 5 months. Some users and me made several reports during this time but we heard absolutely zero fix or underway news.

This feedback is also included in my report article to the team, and this should happen now, we waited for too long.

For some reason, just in the last few days, my keyboard does not add a space after I Swype a word. It DOES add a space if I Swype another word. However, the only reason this is super annoying is when I'm on Facebook and typing a comment or updating my status, Facebook tries to tag a person with nearly every word I type. I see another thread where someone wants to remove the space, I need to add it!

I've been using Swiftkey for 4 years now on two different phones. Previously when I used to type incorrect words in English swiftkey showed the suggestions for the correct spelling. I need that because I've a weak vocabulary and depend on swiftkey for the spellings. But on the other hand, i also type Bengali words in English for communicating with friends. Now i feel that the Bengali words in English are being suggested for incorrect spellings. If i make a mistake in an English word, like "swiming" or "ocupation" i dont see any suggested spellings for the correct word.
I assumed that the English form of Bengali words got stored thus deleting the original English words from the list.

Any kind of assistance regarding this matter will really help me. Thank you.

I'm experiencing problemas with the use of SwiftKey and Android Email App. When type an email using SwiftKey, and a notification arrives on the top of the screen, my SwiftKey keyboard moves millimeters up until the notification is dismissed.
Besides annoying, this problem leads to errors on typing.
Anyone knows how to solve it?

Hi. SwiftKey was updated today and the way typing and prediction works has changed! Before, I'd swipe a word and it would insert the word and the prediction bar would show suggestions for THE NEXT word. Now, I swipe a word and it gives suggestions for the current word. I much preferred the old way. Any way to go back to the old method??

Hi,

the ability to add various keywords for a single clipboard text would be ace. The "➕" text could be input not only by writing "plus" but also "más" which is Spanish for the same word: Individuals who have dozens of clip texts can't remember the exact keywords. Further, it would be nice if you could assess special symbols, asterisks and so on, to enter clip text. That way you could enter the emoji "➕" by entering the normal "+" as well. ☺

just in the last couple days, and only (so far) in Facebook, when I type certain words I get a list of associated emojis that pop up automatically. I find this extremely annoying and would love to disable it. I do have the "emoji predictions" toggle  turned off. Please help. Thank you.

Currently, the only keyboards with swiping and a deep level of functional customization are lesser known and lacking when it comes to swiping accuracy/prediction/intelligence. Examples: Ultra Keyboard, ai.type, and Multiling O.

My request is for SwiftKey to be the first major keyboard to incorporate things like top and bottom row customization (creating and mapping keys) alongside accurate swiping.

Everything I speak into the microphone is being printed out multiple times. What is causing that, and more importantly, how do we fix the problem? Incidentally, I typed this, didn't speak it. Thanks.

I am using Swiftkey 6.5.3.35 on a Samsung S7 running Android 7.0.

First, I would like to say that I think that moving the focus to corrections instead of predictions was a mistake. I miss predictions, but I have been using the new version and trying to adapt, despite not really liking it. I have some questions.

1. How do i capitalize the next word? I'm flowing and my last flow was correct, and now I wish to capitalize the next word (say, a proper noun). If I hit shift, it capitalizes the last word. If I just tap or flow, then it's not capitalized. Example: "Yesterday I visited the State House."

2. Hitting spacebar after a *correct* flow inserts two spaces. How do I stop this? Autocorrect is set to off.

3. Punctuation is slightly messed up as well. If I insert punctuation (: ; / - + etc) after a *correct* flow, it auto-adds a space in between. It makes using colon, semi-colon, etc very awkward. It's there a way to fix this? e.g. "To whom it may concern:"

I almost always use the little microphone key to speak the text of my email and text messages, but for the past few days SwiftKey triples what I spoke in ALMOST identical text, with 3 slightly different versions of what I said. This is happening on both my Nexus 6P with Android 7.1.1 and my Samsung Galaxy Tab S with 6.0.1.
I even tried disabling the GBoard app, but no luck.

Every time i click the "theme" button, the app telling me i need to update the app to get to the store. I updated it like 3 times and it still doesn't work. Help anyone?

You've recently made a change that that reduced the typing efficiency. In the past ,while typing a word, it automatically predicted the next word and entered an automatic space. In order to change the current word, i had to hit the backspace. Now, the keyboard gives me automatic suggestions for the current word and I have to hit the spacebar to get the next suggestion. BTW, it also puts automatically 2 spaces between the words. In addition, It makes the automatic quick period functionality redundant.
