All themes should have option for secondary characters
YanıtlandıEvery theme should have the ability to turn on the secondary characters. I want a bunch of the colorful themes but they have no secondary keys and that won't work for me. The solution to this problem would be to have the option to turn on the secondary characters for every theme. And then have the option to turn it off for every theme, this would make everyone happy. Versus right now all the new themes don't have secondary characters so you're alienating the people that like it.

I agree completely. Despite the large number of themes, none of them quite suit me. The only themes I can tolerate are the ones where keys are individuated in the classic or material style. The Edge, Neptune, Pitch, etc. are just hideously cheesy. The Lapis Lazuli is a nice color, but there's no key individuation and the font is too small. All the themes without secondary keys are completely worthless. (It's hard for me to understand why anyone would use them. I have enough difficulty with the fact that, unlike Swype, there are no keys with ? and ! as dedicated secondary characters.)
The problem with many of the themes with classic key individuation is that the secondary characters are too dull/dim. Maybe I could tolerate this if the colors were appealing, but no. Dark is boring. The teal color in Material Dark, Carbon, and Nickel is hideous. Why not a nice blue? Pumpkin, Forest, and Material Orange have brighter secondary characters, but none of these colors are appealing either. I'm making do with Dusk now, but I'd rather have a dark gray keys, such as in Dark, Material Dark, or Nickel, but with brighter secondary characters and the nice Dusk blue color used minimally, the same way teal is used in Nickel. The optimal solution would be to allow users to choose all elements separately, key style, key color, secondary-character color, and an additional color for certain function keys as in Nickel. If that's not feasible, then you just need to add some nicer combinations. And I get why people would want secondary characters to be dimmer/duller than main characters, as in Dark, but they're just a little bit *too* dim.
