    Hi Eric,

We'll look into these, have you also wrote in to those apps to as well. As iOS 11 is new, a lot of apps will need to update to be more compatible. We have an update coming out soon to run smoother with iOS 11.

    Hi Ryan,

Thanks for your response. The problems above are not only still here, but the painful cursor problem is even easy to reproduce in Apple's own apps (like Messages or Mail)—simply navigating a paragraph of a few lines tends to show it easily. So this looks very much like a SwiftKey bug related to iOS 11. It's been more than 3 Months now and this bug has been bothering me daily. It would be great of you guys acknowledged it and investigated this sluggish cursor issue.

the Dayone Journal app? If so, I just downloaded wrote a fake entry and had no issues with scrolling the cursor (in my attempt).

Things get interesting with web widgets. We are not seeing other reports of the cursor lag issue, not even in those stock apps.

I was not able to reproduce there either. Have you tried a fresh install of SwiftKey by any chance?

Thanks for looking into this, Ryan.

I reinstalled SwiftKey, to no avail.

Can you please try again, with the following method? It's really easy to reproduce, on my phone:

    1) Make sure that you have autocorrect active. I have both French+English active, but (only) English worked in my test too.

    2) In DayOne, Apple Mail or Apple Messages, start a new document (journal entry or mail) and enter enough (say 5) lines of *real* text by repeatedly tapping a SwiftKey suggestion button.

    3) Start moving back with the SwiftKey cursor.

Observed on my iPhone 6S Plus (latest iOS, for the last 6 months maybe): SwiftKey's cursor doesn't even show, because SwiftKey is apparently busy suggesting a correction for every single character movement.

Expected: *during cursor movement, SwiftKey's suggestions should be turned off*, and only put back on when the cursor settles: this would allow the cursor to move at a normal speed.

Can you try again? The problem really slows things down, when SwiftKey's main benefit should be efficiency. :)

Eric, there are like 5 forms of French, as this may be related to a language model, can you specify what exact form of French you are using.

    Thanks.

    Then I will reattempt.

Thanks for your response. I am sorry I missed it and am only responding now.

I am using English+French (FR) at the same time.

But again even if you only use English, this handicapping cursor bug can easily be reproduced as in my last post above. This has been a daily annoyance for about a year, now, and it's quite  frustrating: I hope you guys can reproduce the bug and find a solution (again, it looks like the spelling suggestions should be disabled while the cursor moves instead of slowing down the cursor movement to a crawl).
