Is there a way to stop the automatic space after a period?

Most of my typing is in regards to IP addresses, email address and the like. 

Most of the time I do not want a space following the period. Perhaps an option in the settings area would help.

I have just bought a Pixel 2 XL a week ago coming from OnePlus 5 running Nougat 7.1.1, and ever since I have installed SwiftKey I notice input lag very often when I'm typing. It will go away for a short while then come back when I'm typing. It's very sporadic and unpredictable. I'll be typing normally and there will be no lag whatsoever, but suddenly as I type there will be a slight pause and lag before the word is completed.
On my OnePlus 5 I had no such issues and suddenly it's getting very irritating on my Pixel 2 XL which is supposed to have the best software experience of any Android device. So I'm not sure why it's happening.
I have tried clearing SwiftKey app cache and it doesn't seem to help. Has the app not been optimised for 8.1 yet? I have been using SwiftKey for at least 7 years now and not had this particular issue in input lag.

When I select Minimal Dark Blue which is already downloaded, it goes off to download it again and crashes when I select it.It's the best keyboard software out there and hope that Android 8.0 support will be improved in the near future.

 I would like to know if it is possible to see my personal dictionary. I want to see all the learned words so that I can delete the ones that don't want. Thank you

Unless I am missing it... The long press needs to show both remove and add words to the dictionary

I have experienced many times a desired word is not learned and not added to the dictionary.

Make it easy for me to add.

One paragraph I will type a word, select the autocorrect desired... Next paragraph, same typing of same word... Is not given as a option to select.

And yes app has been reinstalled.

How do I post regarding new features that are a must for me...

Please deactivate automatic spacing after typing a dot, or add an option to NOT insert a space (" ") after typing a dot/period ("."). It is very annoying, as the dot is a common character in any text field or text area (think input fields and text editors, not just web addresses, code editors and alike).

Although this issue has been reported several times, there's still no reaction from SwiftKey/Microsoft for SEVERAL YEARS. Maybe the issue is not tracked anymore as it is associated with a "permanently deleted user".

vorrei capire come memorizzare termini. In pratica la tastiera swiftkey non memorizza il termine <po'>, che in italiano è il troncamento di poco ed è un termine molto utilizzato. Nella lingua italiana <po> non esiste. Esiste <Po> maiscolo, cioè il fiume Po.
E' un problema che posso risolvere in autonomia?

Sync is enabled on my old and new phones. I have synced both phones ans still i am unable to see my saved words. 

Is there any hard way to move my data to my new phone, my old phone has words which are saved for a period of three years.

I've been using SwiftKey for several years with no issues at all, and have obviously built up quite a large personal dictionary. After factory resetting my Galaxy S8+ on Android 9.0, and re-installing SwiftKey, predictions from my personal dictionary so not come up anymore. I have tried all the steps on the troubleshooting guides on this website and have tried all the steps from other similar posts with no success. Are there any other steps I can try? This app has been so essential to me for many many years now and I can't even imagine losing all of the data that has been built up throughout the years.

The feature that I find the most annoying, and would like the option to turn off, is the auto move of the cursor to the end of the word. When I want to insert/correct a character, I press on the location within the word, and the cursor moves to the end of the word! I have all the arrow keys displayed at the bottom of the keyboard, so pressing on the location & adjusting with the arrow keys is super fast. Except the cursor jumps to the end of the word! I think this feature was added a couple of years ago. It still gets in the way. I haven't found a fast workaround, so an option to turn it off would be much appreciated.

Latest update has shrunk the keyboard on my S8+ Even the largest size keyboard, which I use, is dramatically smaller. I need the bigger keyboard. Please advise!

So I had the huawei theme installed on my p9 and after my app updated my theme was gone and it's not in the store anymore.. 🙁 it was my favorite theme.. I've reinstalled swiftkey but no fix.. What happened?

I've been trying to save all my swiftkey data from my old S6 to new S8 and it logs into my google account without any issues, it says it is syncing, but the data does not transfer from my old phone to the new one.

I've got quite a lot of swiftkey data from maybe 2 years of useage, so I'd like to sync it if possible.  Can this be done?  I followed your guide below, but this does not work for me, the new phone still has no predicted words, no words completed, no words flowed etc after syncing.  

My google account is set to sync app data if that makes a difference?

Can anyone guide me in the right direction please?

Can I make swiftkey switch automatically to incognito mode whenever I open specific apps or windows? Such as incognito tabs in Chrome and Firefox.

Otherwise, is there a (non root) 3rd party app that can do it?

Hello. I have the new Moto g5 plus which in the digital sensor has the feature to navigate thru left and right swipes on the sensor so i don't need to use the android on-screen buttom to return or anything else. The buttons doesnt even show on screen. But when i use the swiftkey or other keyboard, it creates the bottom buttons making my screen lose some space. How can i use this keyboard without the buttons just like my Samsung note?

Hello, SwiftKey is the best keyboard, but the qwerty layout has flaws, as well as all the other keyboard layouts for thumb typing.

I have made my own layout, and want to test it out on SwiftKey :). Is there any way to add my own layout into the language select screen? Maybe if I rooted my phone?

I am willing to relearn a layout, and it's really easy for me to do. I want one which allows me to be sloppy and have really good autocorrect. I can text without looking, but every time I look at my screen, I see the same errors caused by certain keys being too close.

So yeah, I made my own layout, and if it's not perfect, I have an idea for writing a program which can figure out a better layout, and I will continually test each new layout.

And yes I've tried LOADS of android keyboards and also different layouts(qwerty, colemak, dvorak, azerty, etc). Swiftkey is the best for autocorrection, and the smartest so far.

I'm currently using JBak keyboard with my own layout, but it's autocorrect is rubbish.

Why go to so much hassle? because I know it's possible to text without looking at my screen, and I like being able to look up at the world whilst texting at a fast speed, followed by a quick proof read.

Is there any way, like on the default iOS keyboard, to add a word, say "yt", which would automatically expand to YouTube?

wie kann ich zwischen den Tastaturen switchen? Wenn ich bauf Gboard bin kann ich ohne probleme auf Swiftkey wechseln, aber von der Swiftkey Tastatur kann ich auf keine andere Tastatur direkt wechseln. HIer muss ich immer über die Handy Einstellungen gehen. Das ist sehr mühsam.

how can I switch between the keyboards? When I'm on Gboard I can switch to Swiftkey without any problems, but I cannot switch directly to any other keyboard from the Swiftkey keyboard. Here I always have to go through the cell phone settings. It is very troublesome.

I love SwiftKey and I always disable Flow because I use the swipe right to left gesture to erase the last word, but on the Pixel 4 it's horribly broken and doesn't erase 90% of the time. Extremely frustrating.

I have been using sk since 2013 and have brought my predictions into new phones 2-3 times so I know my account has info. But when I restored this time I got none of my words that had been in my personal dictionary.

What do I need to do to get my predictions back?

Since last two version whenever I type a colon the preceeding space is automatically removed. This is super annoying when typing smileys. If I deliberately type a space and then a colon I expect the space to stay. As you guys probably know, most apps don't convert ":)" into an emoji unless it's surrounded by spaces. As of know I have to manually go back and add a space before the colon after its typed.
I kindly ask you guys to revert this "feature".

After last update to 6.7.2.20 there is a problem with emoji suggestion while writing. I have disabled that option and sometimes while typing it shows me suggestion. Look screenshot below:

Recently I purchuased Samsung Note 8 and after some time of use I decided to try 4k resolution mode. Before I set up 4k resolution I was using the smallest SwiftKey keyboard possible, but after change of screen resolution to 4k even on smallest keyboard setting SwiftKey keyboard are appearing quite big!

Im letting you know about that with hope in future you will fix it (adapt to 4k), cuz Im really want to try use 4k resolution, but keyboard is just so ugly.... I cant acquiesce with that :)

love the app - understand that it defers to Google for voice to text which is fine but do any of the keyboards have the microphone button larger? I downloaded this app to have a larger keyboard but now it is harder to get to the microphone - may have to uninstall it if there is no fix

First, I noticed prediction lags. A lot. Especially if you type fast.

Now, please help me with this: 1. I don't use pinyin (Chinese input). I don't even have it enabled as pinyin. I use a different typing system (zhuyin system) and yet Swiftkey still predicts pinyin. But why? Why am I forced into this option? This leads to the next problem: Swiftkey likes to predict English words like "uber" into "uber" with an umlaut. This is equally annoying because the English word is not the same as the German word.

2. There's no way to tell where some special letters or modifiers are. For example, the German "ß?" Go ahead and guess where it's found without checking EVERY SINGLE KEY on the keyboard. And the Russian keyboard? I don't even want to start.

For a keyboard that is supposed to be convenient, it, somehow, manages to force you into multilingualism. What if I don't want to, though? I want to type in one language at a time for the sake of accuracy. This prediction really... kills.
