If you check the reviews on the playstore many people who use the thumb layout are saying the last update makes it unusable.

The space in the middle is now almost 75% of the keyboard

Please fix it or add the option for the old layout.

You can't expect people to use this keyboard for years and then change the layout.

I have Swiftkey version 7.6.6.11

I have Twitter version 8.67.0-release 00

I have a Samsung S20 Ultra 5G (UK version) with Android 10

For some months now I am unable to use the Swiftkey board with Twitter.

As soon as I go to type the keyboard vanishes and does not come back.

How do I fix this please?

I've started working on documents with a lot of numbers, which often use negative numbers. How do I stop the automatic space between hyphen (-) and the number from happening? I tried searching in the settings and there doesn't seem to be a way to turn it off. It's annoying to have to back space every time.
Android: SwiftKey typing, no output

I am getting frequent (multiple times per day) where I am typing on swiftkey and I see the prediction forming, but no output in the actual text field I was typing in. Switching to any other keyboard and changing back (without typing anything in the other keyboard) restores functionality, but it's pretty annoying and it's getting more frequent.

I just installed SwiftKey, and detected that long pressing X, will produce £ as default, should it not be $ as default since it's the US, not the UK keyboard layout?
Keyboard font size

I have a compact phone. Will swiftkey introduce an "increase keyboard font size" function, without increasing the keyboard buttons? Swiftkey (and other apps I've looked) at all simply increase overall keyboard & button size but in my phone it takes up too much screen space, restricting functionality - too little typed text is visible etc. There is plenty of room on the standard keys / buttons for a larger font. I don't care if it makes the appearance "ugly" I just need functionality. Its a bit like a car designer fitting a tiny steering wheel because it "looks nice". It may do but it's hard to steer! Thanx

Hi - for reasons unknown to me - and in the past this was NOT the case (but it is now) certain themes have fornts that are 'outline' (inside of font is blank) - which I find very annoying - example 'Pumpkin' I would like it to have a SOLID font - like most themes.

ALSO - most charachters in Pumpkin are not the 'amber' color indicated - but rather white - only Shift, backspace, emoji and search are the 'amber' color - this is not as much annoying as the 'outline' font issue - but it still does not fully represent the 'Pumpkin' theme as it used to.

Any solutions? (am using Android 10 on a galaxy S20-FE)
Can't remove words from dictionary

Keyboard woks fine, but as other users, I can' termove a word form my dictionary.

Long press and remove does not work: the word is still there.

Is there some official page to report a bug or is microsoft too big to bother, as usual?

I cannot for the life of me find where the semi-colon is on my SwiftKey keyboard! It's literally driving me crazy. I found a post where someone else asked and someone replied saying to long press N or the ",!?" buttons, but it's NOT there. And yes, I've went thru the "123", both pages, and it is NOT there!
Feature request: Don't remove space in number pad

Have an option to not remove preceding space when using Number Pad entry to put a period in.

This would be very useful for math and in some cases, IP address abbreviations ("The router is .1 and the DNS server is .2")

I love the behavior of the period key in the normal text entry, but the number pad could invite expectation of different behavior. To expand on this idea, maybe other "autocorrect" features might be disabled in the Number Pad mode.

ich nutze ein Huawei P30 lite (Modell MAR-LX1B, Build 10.0.0.290, Android 10, EMUI 10.0.0). Sehr oft erscheinen bei der Eingabe Buchstaben doppelt (z.B. Eingabbe), obwohl ich die Buchstaben auf der Swiftkeytastatur definitiv nur einmal eingegeben habe.
Problem with capital letters

Hello, When I start writing a text, the shift button is automatically activated so that the first letter, of the first word, of the first sentence is capitalized. But for some time now, this button has been automatically activated in shift lock and therefore my whole sentence is in capital letters, which is annoying and wastes time and comfort. Is there a parameter to change so that the shift key no longer locks automatically but only remains for the first letter?

Changing size in landscape mode

Hello, your keypad is really nice and I like it. I have got Huawei Mate 10 Pro with Android 10 and unfortunately I met with one problem. Keypad size in portrait mode is perfect and with constant size, but in landscape mode is size changing. Please, check video, it shows this problem https://youtu.be/7WqGrbjJfdc As you can see, firstly I am in landscape mode with keyboard size which I set, secondly I moved into the portrait mode and when I moved back to the landscape mode, then is keyboard size changed and is so big. I hope that you will find solution and in next updates it could be solved

Hello!

SwiftKey is my keyboard of choice for my Samsung S20 phone. I recently started using Dex in parts of my day job, and as a programmer I use Vim and have my finger muscle memory quite settled for Norwegian Dvorak. Unfortunately I can only find English Dvorak available as a choice in SwiftKey, but on both OSX and Linux are Norwegian Dvorak available as default (and easy to install on Windows), would this be possible to add to SwiftKey as well?

Not having my usual keyboard layout available in Dex makes it much harder to adopt it even more in my day job. My ultimate goal is to completely remove the need for a personal computer, and only use my phone for my programming job. To do this I need keyboard layout I know.

I am willing to contribute quite a lot of effort to make this possible, if it is something I could add myself. There are many open source repositories with the layout already specified in Xml and other layout formats: https://www.google.com/search?q=Norwegian+dvorak+github

Ability to choose long-press letter options Yanıtlandı

I think this isn't too farfetched. Basically, I want the user to be able to select which diacritic appear for the letters they long press. For example, "Ǥ" appearing when I long press G. I know there are language packs which include such diacritics, but I'm currently developing a writing system which relies on the following diacritics: Ŧ, Ƶ, Đ, Ħ, Ǥ, ẞ, Ɛ, and Ɔ. Obviously there should be a limit per letter on the keyboard, so I wouldn't add 100 different diacritic, but I'm sure the developers can set a maximum limit for such a thing. The way it could be done is allowing the user to either add a "custom" keyboard layout, similar to QWERTY, AZERTY, etc, or modify the existing layouts just by choosing which diacritics appear upon long pressing a button.

I use SwiftKey as the keyboard on my phone. It has the option to swipe when typing or to tap letters individually. It also has predictive text to finish half-typed words and to get suggestions for the next word in the sentence you're writing.

When I'm on the forums (mobile theme), when I'm typing a post using the swipe feature, it types double words, likelike thisthis. But it doesn't do that when I'm tapping individual letters or using predictive text to finish my words.

This doesn't happen on any other app or website. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this problem? Good

I enable 3 languages (English, Spanish, German) and use swipe, which I realize is hard, but it has become almost unusable in the last 2 months with a really low prediction rate. I can also no longer delete unwanted predictions by long pressing them, they come right back. Has something fundamentally changed?

I'm so glad that you've finally added adaptive theme for the keyboard light/dark, but the issue it that the dark one has a bad visibility of the symbols on it. They're all greysd out, almost matching the grey/dark color of the keyboard...

Hello, Before you've used Google voice typing but now you're using Microsoft's I guess. The issue is that it doesn't have an ability to set more languages for voice typing. I'm using SwiftKey in 2 languages English and Croatian (it worked when you were using Google voice typing) and it's awful that there no more choice but English...
Combine Android & Windows touch keyboard databases?

Is it possible to use the writing database from the Android account/SwiftKey on the Windows 10 touch screen keyboard? I'm asking because I'm logging in to SwiftKey on Android with a Google account, and to Windows obviously with an Outlook.com account. The Windows keyboard doesn't seem to learn much, unlike the Android SwiftKey, which is brilliant and has learn in over 10 years pretty much everything I ever write.

So how to use the brilliant Swiftkey database on the Windows touch screen keyboard?

SwiftKey could allow customization of special characters showed on numeric keyboard. Note that special characters are very related to each user special needs. Also, sometimes user needs some few alphabetic characters when using numeric alternative keyboard. Passwords are a typical case where it occurs. Regular characters (a to x) could be accessed thru long press on this keyboard and this will eliminate the need to go back and forth on regular and numeric keyboards. The layout on numeric keyboard offers enough slots to do it. Another problem is that the current version changes the special characters to another one when long pressed without any hint of which caharcater will be used. This is a mess

After long pressing a key user must choose any of the popes up characters. Sometimes usera make a mistake and just wants to give up and this is not possible. Auwift key should show on alternative character list a slot that allows user to cancel the operation. Alternatively it can allow a movement such as moving to space bar to indicate the operation to be canceled.

On the Max 10 pad the backspace key deletes entire sentences and paragraphs at random. This feature cannot be disable, please add an option to disable it or your keyboard is not usable

I'm new to Swiftkey and I haven't installed the swiftkey yet. I hope to use it on my Android smartphone. Currently, I'm using the default keyboard. I'd like to learn new features I can use on Swiftkey.

After the last update I can't switch to Google voice recognition anymore, it still shows Bing interface. Moreover I can't use several languages as I still can do with no-beta Version (German and Russian), the recognition is only in German. Please fix.
